In 2002, I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in biology. Working with children has always been my passion, so I went to Xavier University to pursue a future in education. In 2004, I finished my Master's Degree in education with a certification in 7-12 life science. I have taught 7th and 8th grade science at Mariemont Junior High School since 2004. I am the middle school science content area specialist for both 7th and 8th grade. I create both interventions and upperventions for the science department to help meet the needs of all learners.
In 2006, I graduated from Miami University with a degree in Middle School Education with a focus in math, language arts, and reading. After graduation, I taught 7th grade math at Mason Middle School for 8 years. At the end of the 2013-14 school year, I was hired at Mariemont Junior High to teach 7th grade Language Arts and Modern Communications. While at Mariemont, I finished my Master's Degree in Special Education at Miami University. Upon completion, I started teaching 7th and 8th grade Focus. Focus is a specialized math and reading intervention class for students that are performing below grade level. Currently, I am teaching 7th grade College Prep and Advanced College Prep Math as well as 7th grade Focus.
